Coach Harder was recognized for a series of significant accomplishments including: winning 3 State Team Titles; coaching 286 state medal events (the 2nd highest in the history of State); and producing 34 State event champions and one World Champion (Tim Rusan). 13 of his Assistant Coaches now coach teams of their own and prior to being inducted into the The Hall of Fame, Coach Harder was voted MTCCCA Coach of The Year 5 times, and Missouri Associated Coach of the Year twice.

We believe the same attributes that have made Coach Harder an incomparable success on the field, have also made him a first-rate driving coach. The Hall of Fame for the Missouri Track and Cross Country Coaches Association (MTCCCA) began accepting members in 1974. After the Awards Banquet this year, there are a total of 175 members. Notable inductees include Olympic Gold Medalist Jackie Joyner Kersee, former World 100 meter record Holder Ivory Crockett, former St. Louis Football Cardinal Mel Gray, World class sprinter Muna Lee, Olympian Ruth Osborn, and Olympic Medalist David Lee.
